Skilled Construction Workers Needed


Skilled Construction Volunteer
Use your general carpentry skills to help Leeward Habitat build simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with qualified and deserving families on the Leeward Coast of Oahu.  Are you comfortable working with minimal supervision, able to read plans and willing to see basic carpentry projects from start to finish in a timely manner?  No upfront commitment is necessary, you simply agree to be on an “on call list” to receive notification when project based help is needed.  You can then decide whether your schedule and skill level allow you to undertake the particular project.  Leeward Habitat will provide the plans and materials. Please email leewardhabitat@hotmail.com to be placed on our "on call list".  Please include your name, address, phone number, and skill.

Licensed Volunteer Subcontractor
Use your professional skill to help create affordable homeownership opportunities and strengthen Leeward Oahu neighborhoods.  Do what you do best (plumbing, electrical, masonry or foundation work) while giving back to the community.  Licensed subcontractors willing to donate professional labor on Habitat for Humanity Leeward Oahu projects can help us build houses with partner families affordably and efficiently--all in a few days work!  Must possess license and insurance.  

Site Supervisors
The Site Supervisor is the person responsible for the managing the build process and is critical to the success of Leeward O'ahu Habitat. The Site Supervisor manages volunteer labor and provides training to unskilled volunteers as needed. We seek construction professionals who wish to volunteer the time supervising the build of an entire home or even just a part. Patience and a love for the mission is a necessity for this position. The minimum commitment for this position is one build (average 4 to 6 months).
